The Chief Information Officers (CIO) role is to align SaskTels information technology vision with business strategy by integrating company business processes with innovative and leading edge technologies and applications. You will be the driving force behind key systems and business process improvement initiatives within the organization. As a strategic member of the Executive team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives of the information technology needs of the company to ensure that system capabilities are responsive to the needs of the companys growth and future success.
The successful candidate will possess:
Advanced educational credentials with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in information technology or computer science. An advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum of 15 years progressive experience within a complex and dynamic information technology environment is required.
A broad business perspective and proven knowledge of the ICT industry is required along with an excellent understanding of business practices and trends in the global competitive environment.
Excellent management skills with superior interpersonal and communication skills along with a proven track record in building rapport and maintaining relationships with clients and senior executive within the global telecommunications industry.
The ability to think long-term in the area of technology and delivering software solutions and to be able to identify new opportunities for SaskTel to capitalize on is a must. Change management, professionalism, strategy and an innovative mindset are all competencies this leader will possess.
