PSI seeks candidates for the position of Consultant to support program activities in its Sexual and Reproductive Health and TB Department. Based in Washington, D.C., the Consultant will report to the HIV/TB Technical Advisor in the department and will work primarily on HIV and TB-related tasks. The position requires flexibility and willingness to assume varied duties and offers an opportunity to assist PSI staff on a variety of projects in HIV and tuberculosis. PSI offers a dynamic, creative, and progressive work environment. This position is open to a minimum 3 month contract (30-40 hours per week) and requires a dedicated candidate who is a fast learner, can manage his/her own time, and is an excellent communicator. A daily rate commensurate with the candidates experience will be provided. There will be an option to renew the contract based on performance during the first 3 month period.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include, but are not to be limited to:
Assist in the documentation of PSIs global quality assurance system for voluntary medical male circumcision;
Support the design and implementation of a training for HIV programs in west and central Africa;
Provide logistics support for two international meetings in the fall of 2013;
Document current PSI referral and linkage to care activities and assist technical advisors in the development of a package of referral resources for country programs;
Document, through case studies, PSI TB/HIV and public private mix TB activities, as well as PSIs work with key populations;
Review and format standardized questionnaires and other HIV/TB research tools;
Coordinate abstract and poster review processes for upcoming international conferences;
Support the update of HIV and TB resources on PSIs internal knowledge management platform;
Fulfill additional programmatic and administrative functions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree; some international work experience preferred.
Excellent writing, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Background in public health; background in HIV or tuberculosis a plus.
Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of tasks on short notice within designated deadlines.
Required computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Familiarity with Wiki software.
Native-level English with ability to work in French a significant plus.
