This is analytical work at the full working level in support of the organizations Enterprise Resource Planning System; in particular providing support with the TRM Project within the Finance Department. Reporting to the Tax & Revenue Project Manager and the Assistant Director, Revenue Services, this position participates in the identification of business requirements and the design of solutions and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with users in a variety of departments; assists in the preparation of business cases related to long term strategies and acquisition of technologies; assists in the preparation of specified parts of Requests for Proposal; prepares and maintains a variety of reports and records related to the work. Mapping key work flows and processes for blue printing will be an essential component of this role. Also, the successful candidate will exercise considerable independent judgment and action in performing the systems maintenance tasks and refers more complex problems to a superior who evaluates work performance in terms of effective services rendered. Performs related work as required
Completion of a university degree at the Bachelors level in computer science or a related discipline is needed with sound related experience in systems analysis, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. This position also requires experience working with Tax and Revenue systems. Additionally this opportunity requires working knowledge regarding applicable divisional policies and practices and of the operational methods of the departments served. It also requires an understanding of how to configure the computer system using table and master data driven parameters along with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.
Status: Temporary Full Time (to June 30, 2014).
