TRAFFIC & PARKING OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN
The City of Welland is seeking a full time Parking & Traffic Operations Technician. Under the direction of the Manager, By-Laws Traffic & Parking Manager, the Traffic & Parking Operations Technician will be responsible for performing various duties with respect to traffic and parking operations, school crossing guard program, administer pavement marking and street lighting programs.
The successful candidate requires:
- Three (3) year Diploma in a Transportation Engineering Technology program or related field
- IMSA Certification in Work Zone Safety and Signs and Markings
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation
- Four (4) years of progressive experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Standard office software programs.
- Excellent public relations and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Knowledge of the Ontario Traffic Manuals, Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and Highway Traffic Act.
The Corporation offers a comprehensive benefit package. The hourly wage rate for this position starts at $32.46 per hour. This position works a 40 hour work week.
