CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Crop Nutrients Division. We are looking for a Foreman to work at the Fertilizer Terminal in Watertown, S.D. You must be self-motivated, hard working, have good time management skills, able to make decisions and work independently. You will:
Oversee day to day operations of Fertilizer Terminal Supervise and provide work direction to production employees Ensure safe working environment and all safety rules and procedures are adhered to, help management with writing safety procedures & doing safety paperwork in timely fashion. Monitor the unloading, handling, and loading out of product while maintaining correct quality and quantities as well as the associated documentation of transactions. Monitor equipment and operational procedures; suggest equipment repairs / changes to maintain or enhance safety & productivity of facility to management for approval. Establish & maintain positive working relationships with CHS staff responsible for commodity procurement, sales and logistics. Assist and provide administrative support in absence of Terminal Manager Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner Ensure customer satisfaction and our companies integrity are a priority Helping Management with day to day paperwork & helping input information into CHS accounting systems. Adhere to CHS drugalcohol free work place requirements and be included in random and pre employment testing. Adhere to CHS smoke free environment policy, and comply with designated smoking areas. High school diploma or equivalent 5 years terminal or cooperative operations experience. Must have supervision skills in operations Class A CDL drivers license, with air brake endorsement, or the ability to obtain one Ability to lift 75 lbs, climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins. Ability to work in occasionally dusty and adverse weather conditions and temperatures. Ability to work long hours to meet seasonal business demands.
