Chemonics seeks a new business associate, based in Washington, D.C., for the East Asia regional business unit. The associate will serve on a team tasked with guiding and providing support to proposal development efforts for the region. The position requires a strong team spirit, attention to detail, and the capacity to build strong internal networks and represent Chemonics effectively to external stakeholders. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
Track proposal development opportunities
Draft and manage new business communications, staffing, and supporting proposal and capture teams
Build staff capacity in proposal development
Monitor the overall proposal development process
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in international development or relevant technical field, or bachelors degree with relevant work experience required; masters degree a plus
Minimum of two years of experience in international development
Two years of contract management and/or proposal preparation experience preferred
Strong writing and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to travel and work overseas a minimum of four to six weeks per year
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Experience in southeast Asia a plus
Proficiency in relevant foreign language preferred
